Congressional
staffers visited during August 26th - September 1st 2007 visit
to seek sponsor, cosponsors and supporters in Congress for People's Lobby's
citizen-initiated AWSC Congressional Proposals. One
page summary hand-out left with staffers.
Prior to the November 2006 election ALL the findable
candidates for the House and Senate in 38 states were sent this
request to support
- No political party has
- and asked to support the AWSC congressional proposals.
Lack of time and staff were the only reason we didn't contact all the
candidates in a more timely manner.
About
60+ Congressional offices have been contacted by phone in 2005-2006,
Their legislative directors have all seemed supportive. This
