World Service Corp Bill seeking your co-sponsorship and/or support
Dear Representative Walsh:
As a fellow Peace
Corps volunteer, and one who has successfully worked in effectively
appropriating funds for helping to build child nutrition programs to providing
assistance to the homeless, I hope you share the belief that passage of this
proposal would cost effectively reduce our need for future costly military
interventions and increase world health prospects for the young and old.
With that hope in
mind, I am requesting you co-sponsor the attached proposed World Service Corps
(WSC) bill/resolution. With your
background as a Peace Corp volunteer and as one of 13 Chairmen of Appropriations Subcommittees,
you know how much more cost effective it is to send PCVs rather than soldiers
to stem the spread of terrorism.
