RE:  World Service Corps proposals request your co-sponsorship

Dear Congressman Jones:

Your interview on the June 12TH  edition of ABC’s This Week was moving.  Not enough deep compassion over the plight and sacrifices of our soldiers and their families is detectable in enough of our nation’s elected reps.  Thanks for showing your compassion.

Related to showing true compassion for the sacrifices of today and tomorrow’s military is this request.

Would you sign on as a cosponsor of the two critically needed citizen-initiated World Service Corps Congressional legislative proposals?

Six years after legislative passage, the key WSC proposal would have one million Americans serving in their choice of these core organizations: Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Habitat for Humanity, Head Start, Doctors Without Borders, or the Red Cross.  Financial inducements used to inspire the 6/10th of 1% of active and concerned Americans above 18 to fill the ranks of one million WSC volunteers would include: tuition, education loan, IRA, or medical savings payments.  To read the details of the key WSC bill, please go to

www.worldservicecorps.us/world%20service%20resolution%20bill%202yr%20volun.htm

The WSC proposals are a critically needed means to reduce the burden our soldiers must carry into 21st century terrorist laden warfare.  A robust WSC depletes the recruitment ranks from which perhaps millions of stealth terrorists are recruited.  An experienced WSC will increase America’s understanding of and competitiveness in the world.  A hard working WSC makes life better and safer at home and abroad.  For more reasons, please go to www.worldservicecorps.us/coverage.htm.

In about a week, I hope to speak with your staff regarding your support of the WSC proposals.  Thanks for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Dwayne Hunn
