RE:  Proposed World Service Corp Bill seeking your co-sponsorship and/or support

Dear Representative Honda:

As a fellow Peace Corps volunteer, you know that only about 178,000 PCVs and trainees have served since the Peace Corps 1961 inception, and only about 150 presently serve El Salvador.  As you know first hand, many El Salvadorans still labor under difficult health and economic conditions.  The World Service Corps (WSC) proposal offers all Americans an opportunity to improve health and economic conditions at home and abroad.

If enacted, this proposal could dramatically increase the numbers of Americans working in El Salvador and elsewhere.  As more Americans need to understand, bettering living conditions and economic opportunities in Central American helps dry up the narcotic traffic that weakens America.

With the hope that you share the belief that a robust World Service Corps is long overdue, I am requesting you co-sponsor the attached proposed World Service Corps (WSC) bill/resolution.

The WSC proposal links public private partnerships with the best in America’s efforts to have all serve and learn at home and abroad.  Your staff can link to updated World Service Corps information by clicking to the opening link at www.dwaynehunn.biz.

Similar requests have thus far been made to those CCed below.

I look forward to your reply.  Thanks for your consideration.

 Sincerely,

Dwayne Hunn
