People’s Lobby has a storied history reviving the grassroots California initiative process, directing the eighteen-state Western Bloc initiative campaigns, launching the movement to a National Initiative process in the late 60’s, and in helping revive and finance an updated national initiative process in 2002.

People’s Lobby is now involved in moving Congress to introduce and pass its citizen-initiated American World Service Corps (AWSC) Congressional Proposals.  If passed as written, the AWSC fields twenty-one million American volunteers at home or abroad over the ensuing twenty-seven years to address poverty, climate change, ignorance, hatreds, etc.  Its proposed revenue streams make the AWSC a pay-go program.

As a presidential candidate, where do you stand on People’s Lobby’s citizen-initiated American World Service Corps (AWSC) Congressional Proposals?

We expect to share your stance with our growing network of supporters.  We appreciate Senator Obama and former President Bill Clinton’s letters about the AWSC.

We look forward to your reply.  Thank you.
