RE: Proposed World Service
Corps (WSC) Bill/Resolution seeks your co-sponsorship
Dear Senator Obama:
Congratulations on your Senatorial election. It’s good to see public service activism
rewarded by election to a position with great do-good potential.
Congratulations
also to your appointment to the important Foreign Relations Committee. In this era of heighten world tensions and
increasing disdain for American policies and Americans, your position on the
FRC allows you to work toward making the world safer for this and your
daughters’ generation. The proposed WSC
Bill can be an integral piece of making the world safer, saner, and less
costly.
The WSC proposal uses a Warm Productive
Civilian Draft that creates a
public-non-governmental agency joint venture to engage a million peaceful
American warriors into addressing the world’s needs. In this Warm Draft, young Americans
choose service in Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Habitat for Humanity, Head Start,
Doctors Sans Borders, and the Red Cross, while older Americans can
volunteer.
We live in a dangerous nuclear
and bio-terror era. We need bold
policies like the WSC in which all Americans can engage to reduce the
likelihood that fundamental ignorance can blow us backwards into a Darkened
Era.

those CCed below.
I look forward to your
reply. Thanks for your consideration.
Sincerely,
