RE: Proposed World Service Corps Bill/Resolution
Dear Senator Dole:
With
your impressive public service record and eight years at the helm of the Red
Cross, I hope you will agree that the world has many needs and that Americans
have the experience and character to address those needs.
I
am requesting that you co-sponsor the proposed World Service Corps legislation
attached with this fax. Having led the
Red Cross when 91 cents of every dollar went to programs and services, you know
how cost efficient the Red Cross, Peace Corps, Head Start, AmeriCorps, Habitat,
and Doctors Without Border are. And you
know how needed and beneficial their good works are.
All
Americans need to fight against the seeds of radicalism and ignorance, which
sprout terrorists. I hope you will agree
that the World Service Corps (WSC) provides the world with one of the most
effective long run policies available to do that.
The WSC proposal provides all Americans with a
public-non-profit partnership that peacefully uses their skills to combat the
seeds of narrow-mindedness at home and terror abroad. Your staff can link to updated World Service Corps
information by clicking to the opening link at www.dwaynehunn.biz.
Similar
requests have thus far been made to those CCed below. I hope you will share this with your
well-respected husband and garner his support.
I
look forward to your reply. Thanks for
your consideration.
Sincerely,
Enc: Faxed
proposed WSC bill/resolution. Summary of WSC, Op-Ed submission.
