America’s health and power

I am voting for John Kerry and hope you will do the same.

Over the past year some of my Republican acquaintances and friends have indicated they may vote for George Bush.

The wealth and power in our country is becoming increasingly concentrated and that is burdening our lower and middle classes with more taxes, longer hours of work for less, reduced educational opportunities, and a resultant lessening of America’s strength at home and in the world.  These added burdens are moving America toward a Gilded Society that tries to dumb down the middle class that has been the strength of America and its democratic ideals.

A Kerry administration will do a lot more to stem the unhealthy movement toward concentrated power and wealth.  Four more years of Bush will seriously erode America’s health at home and power and stature abroad.
